La Casita del Sol is one of Amarillo's historic homes, built in the Spanish eclectic style as interpreted by architect Guy A. Carlander in 1926.While maintaining the architectural integrity of the home, the owner accomplished an extensive reconstruction and modern renovation in 1999. La Casita del Sol is located in the Plemons-Eckle Historic district, close to downtown Amarillo.
